TOPIC: Pilots Wings

Pilots Wings 7 Years ago
Kansas Dave and I went to Winfield Ks. to hunt an old park that has been good to me in the past. Not so good today though, so we decided to hit the fairgrounds. It was getting hot enough that I couldn't take many signals seriously, so we called it quits, but planned to drive out of town through a residential area in hopes of finding a vacant lot or a door to knock. We found a rockin old house and the owner was outside watering her garden. I sought permission and it was granted. (She wanted half the finds though) It's in excess of 100 degrees and not getting cooler, but we spent a good amount of time there.
This is a set of WWII Army Air Corp Pilots wings, found in the yard of a house that dates back to 1870. They were 4-5 inches deep and came in at a solid 12-46. To top it off I also found a $20 bill in the yard...I gave it to the homeowner.
